Attach the hood by aligning the

mark on the rear of the hood with

the

mark on the adapter and

rotating the hood until the hood’s

mark aligns with the adapter’s

mark.

z To remove the lens hood and adapter,

hold down the ring release button and

turn the adapter in the opposite direction

shown.

z If you use the built-in flash when the lens hood is attached,

a portion of the flash will be blocked by the lens hood and

appears dark.

z If you use the viewfinder when the lens hood is attached,

a portion of the view will be blocked by the lens hood.

z When you are not using the lens hood, it can be stowed as

shown in the illustration below.
