You can use the digital zoom to zoom up to a maximum of 13x and capture

subjects that are too far away for the optical zoom (p. 20) to enlarge. The

images may appear coarse, however, depending on the recording pixel

setting (p. 64) and the zoom factor used.

Press the zoom button toward i.

● Hold the button until zooming stops.

X When you release the button, the largest

possible zoom factor without image

deterioration, and will appear.

again.

X The digital zoom will further zoom in on

the subject.

To turn off the digital zoom, press the n button, select the 4 tab, and select

[Digital Zoom] and the [Off] option.
