The EOS 300 has set a new standard for entry-level AF SLR cameras. Canon’s Advanced

Integrated Multipoint system, and many other features previously only available on models at the

top of the EOS range, have been included in this highly affordable camera. Novice and

experienced photographers alike will appreciate the lightweight body, comfortable grip and well-

positioned controls.

7-point wide area AF. Your subject will be

perfectly captured by the rapid 7-

point auto- focusing system. The

vertical and horizontal focus points

are displayed on the viewfinder to

help you quickly put your

composition in sharp focus.

35-zone exposure metering system. The newly

developed ultra-fine 35-zone

evaluative metering system

analyses where to

concentrate meter readings in

relation to your active focusing point. Extremely

powerful and accurate subject analysis is quickly

possible, even with moving targets.

The Command Dial. This is an easily mastered

system of settings. The settings on the Command Dial

will make taking the perfect photograph simple.

The PIC modes include portrait, landscape, action, close-

up and night scene. Select any mode and the camera will

fine-tune your settings to deliver the best

possible results.

Creative mode settings on the Command Dial are

intelligent program AE, aperture priority AE, shutter

priority AE and A-DEP. These modes will give you the

opportunity for unlimited artistic expression.

E-TTL autoflash. To take advantage of the most

advanced Evaluative Through-The-Lens (E-TTL)

autoflash system mount an EX Speedlite onto your

EOS 300. What you see through the lens can be the

guaranteed end result when using a Speedlite. Natural

looking flash photography and a world of creative

photography is entirely possible thanks to features such

as high-speed sync. and FE lock.

BP-200 Battery Pack. This compact battery pack

has an extremely comfortable grip and is equipped with

its own shutter button for vertical photography.
