Setting the Network Functions

 Mac OS 8.6/9.x

Use the Chooser and the AppleTalk item of the Control Panel to confirm the

Macintosh network settings.

Confirm that AppleTalk can be used.

 From the Apple menu select Chooser.

 Confirm that Active is selected for AppleTalk. If the setting is

Inactive, select Active.

Confirm that Ethernet is selected for the AppleTalk connection.

 Start AppleTalk on the Control Panel.

 Select Ethernet.

 Close AppleTalk to save the setting.

z Be sure to select the Printer Port if Ethernet is connected via LocalTalk.

This completes the network settings for a Macintosh.
